I do like the seats. They remind me of the ones out of a stage one I had the pleasure of driving.

Rumour from the factory is that there will be a final model run of special defenders released in mid July and these will be the final run which take production up to march 2016 as this is the final production date.
Rumour is: a 3.2 Diesel a 5.0 V8 and a very limited edition soft top edition The Heritage Model is basically what Nene Overland have been doing for over 5 years now and tbh their Heritage model is far better than the Land Rover one. 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid) 2002 90 TD5 Hardtop (Sully) Sold 1998 300TDi D1 (Billy) Sold |

Problem with the Nene one is it's not done by Land Rover so nobody wants one.

So will dealers have to sell at the advertised price for these LEs...
Or will discounts be available do we think?... Not including AirCon is a bit of a home goal in my view (Southern softie you see!)... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

"Rumour",??!!....Well, I'd say you could be correct about a FINAL final edition, but you'd be wrong about the date of last production, which as recently as yesterrday, was quoted by JLR as being 20 th December 2015? Pickles. |

Thanks Rob. Pictures look great
PJ2106 My comment wasn't meant to offend but in relation to special editions most Land Rover enthusiasts would buy a second hand original ltd edition rather than an in house version of one. I'm sure your version is every bit as good if not better. I did try and buy a genuine g4 challenge 110 from Nene a few years ago. regards steve |

So Steve, not one from the factory but outsourced perhaps to get under rules and homolgation. I agree with a V8 but give me a hint whether there will be a 3.2 or a bigger diesel that might be worth waiting for?? Would be a great workhorse and one that might be properly used although I doubt many will be used if they are final production.

My guess is there will be both a V8 petrol and 3.2 diesel available from Bowler that will have the LR factory 'seal of approval' ....

Allocation s been given to dealers this morning. My dealer 1 heritage 90sw, one HT, no 110, no autobiography, and a couple of adventure's.
Needless to say mine is the 90 sw and he could have sold it 17 times. |
