2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Cairns Blue
My new (to me) 90 XS Station Wagon
Hi

I have owned my Defender for around a month now, having bought through an ad on another car forum.

The colour (Cairns Blue) would certainly not be my first choice and to make matters worse, the previous owner, an MD of a metal fabrication company had colour coded the front bumper, soft A bar and rear cross member. It was therefore very blue when I first bought it!

Since then, I have put on a new bumper and had the rear cross member returned to black. I also tried to plastidip the A bar, but keep getting blistering and have decided she looks better without it anyway.

She's done 118K miles, but has full service history and looks like she's always had whatever she needed, including new clutch and turbo. I got her for a good price too as they'd just taken delivery of a new 90 and seemed to just want rid of the old one Smile

Inside, the guy had the standard XS seats re-upholstered in leather - guess what colour?! Again, not what I would have gone for, but it's actually quite nice having full leather, would have much prefered them to be in black though.

Once I have had a few essential maintenance jobs carried out (steering box), I will be making a few cosmetic changes. Am thinking of the gloss black Flatdog Sawtooth replicas, NAS rear step, black chequer plate on the sills and rear corner. Will also swap the light surrounds and grill for black as I prefer this to the existing silver.

Oh, and I also have the standard water leak to track down, last couple of times it's rained, there's been a pool of water on the passenger side mat!

Really am chuffed to bits with her, she's been a long time coming and has finally allowed me to scratch the itch.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks very much guys, pleased to hear it gets your seal of approval!

Been out this afternoon to have a look at my water leak, pretty sure it's coming in around the bottom corner of the windscreen or possibly the top of the windscreen and running down.

Have squirted some Captain Tolley's stuff in there, will see if that makes any difference.

Cheers

Very nice vehicle mate.
And, there's NOTHING wrong with those seats, actually they look factory, and add a touch of class to the interior.
