Spoke to my dealer and penciled me in for a Heritage 90 SW.
He said land rover will tell the dealers what they are getting of each model. He thought that Autobiography`s might not even grace his dealership. Expecting the London dealers to be blessed with those |

All of the defenders are classed as commercial really as per log book. If your profession allows I`d be tempted to claim VAT back on a SW, if you have other private cars too. |

If they look into it and you've got four seats they want the vat back.
For me it would have to be a sign written van to claim the vat back. even on the utility you can only officially claim 60% of the vat due to the five seats (i'm sure there are some trade exceptions) As said, if they don't check its ok but with my luck theyd be round the next week |

My dealer’s just ‘phoned me up: “Your five hundred quid lodged for one of the ‘last’ Defenders… when do you want to come in and decide which one?”
Well, the Heritage is pretty but smacks of cheapskate, the Adventure is the kind of thing a saddo aspires to, the only model that I wouldn’t be ashamed to be seen in would be a one-colour (i.e. Santorini Black) Autobiography. I’ll at least have the decency to go in next week and tell him face-to-face that I’m not interested… Peter |
