I have them, at least clear on the front and colours on the rear.
No complaints what so ever. |

I have had a full set of these on for over 2 years now and they are top notch. Would recommend them without hesitation.

How different are the RDX LEDs compared to the Wipac LEDs?
When munch90 suggested to get the fog and rev lights from Wipac, I'm guessing the Wipac ones will just be plug and play rather than having to cut up wire? Does Wipac make LED license plate lights too? If Wipac is more plug and play, are their output better than stock? How do they compare to RDX? Also, I where can one get all the Wipac lights in one go if this is the way to go? Most sites only have the marker, signal, and brake lights as sets. RDX has them all though. Input and thoughts welcome as I'm considering this as a potential upgrade as funds become available. Thanks! |

Your question: Does Wipac make LED license plate lights too?
Yes, they do. A search on here would reveal the following: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic16395-135.html You never actually own a Defender. just get the econoseal plugs to fit on the wipac lamp or buy then with them fitted already wipac make the better number plate lamp buying wipac just means you get matching reflectors on rev and fog , as in some of the sets you get a odd pair of reflectors , ok not the end of the world but if your spending your money you may as well have a matching set ONLY thing is you cant get wipac fog in clear lens only red Last edited by munch90 on 5th Jan 2015 8:46am. I have the RDX led lights albeit the colour lights with the exception of the reverse light which is clear. I am more than happy with the quality and reliability of the set. I am not sure about WIPAC but RDX includeds the relay with their light package. The relay manages the indicators and can accomodate the trailer connection.

I fitted the whole rdx set without the flasher relay (didn't like flash rate )
then decided to fit extra rev and fog, then found I couldn't get fog or rev to match what I had , so in the end for wipac to get 2 matching fogs and 2 matching revs |

Hello Munch,
The relay allows you to adjust the flash rate. The flash rate on mine matches OEM. |

when I adjusted it right for the dash trailer light to work , it didn't look right also the dash trailer light don't work if you got led trailer lights fitted which I have on 2 of my trailers
I went back to a relay I already had that does either filament or led or mixed and fitted a buzzer as that works with any trailer light the rdx flasher relay was within regulation flash rate but just looked slow compared to what I had been used to with my old led flasher relay just being fussy really , I already had another led relay because I went from just led bulbs to proper complete lamps |

Interesting point about the RDX not being able to handle led lights on a trailer. I have not tried that yet as current trailers, only have filament bulbs. I would be interested in your relay for future. Thanks for the heads-up.

it can handle led trailer load without problem and flashes led trailer light no problem , its the dash indicator lamp that doesn't work ( does say so in bolt on bits ebay listing for the relay )
I got 2 trailers on led and 2 trailers on filament bulbs , so needed something to cover both so now I don't bother with dash lamp and have a buzzer which I prefer as you need to look at the dash |
