cured a few squeaks today. first was to change serp belt tension-er bearing. it was pretty goosed when i took it off!, and also found source of another annoying squeak which turned out to be oil cooler pipe rubbing against bonnet stay bracket!! My 109 thread

sick of spending money trying to find booming issue, i decided it was time to spend on a mod! so cheap as chips DRL bumper conversion.
used ring auro lights off ebay £30 some surrounds to bolt to bumper £15
total outlay £47!!
the rings were second hand but never installed!, still in sealed packaging Thumbs Up
the surrounds made it easier to finish, as i was using a grinder to cut bumper i had no way off getting a good cut!

they come on when engine starts, dim 50% when lights are on and stay on 20 seconds after engine switched off. ( coming home lights)

everything off

Best thing I ever did was to replace Brake, side and indictors with LED's. I bought the Wipac ones and an RDX relay, no more blown bulbs, and as they are fully waterproof no water seeping in to corrode the fitting. Plus very easy to replace as they are the same dimensions as the originals, although you may have to swap over the live and negative feed but that is no great problem.
