britool?
Just looking at a ratchet screwdriver and britool are offering a variety of options however on their website it's suggesting that they are part of Stanley black and decker , are we to read into that that they are not the same quality that they used to be? Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

If I were buying one. I would buy Wera. They are the best out there IMO.

Nothing wrong with britool hallmark, but not this new britool as you might as well buy draper. Wera are good tools as are facom and beta but for me I try to buy snap on. Providing its a reasonable buy lol

Having been looking on amazon sub 20 quid is making me nervous about quality. You get what you pay for. Cheers for the input. Is then 65 quid plus too far the other way for the snap on version? Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Snap on for me too, as above I have the older kind and the newer and they are both perfect Thumbs Up if you want snap on but cheaper just buy second hand off ebay as it'll still be covered under warranty Whistle

I purchased a 21mm Britool socket to replace a 30 year old one that I had lost. The new one looked more like a Silverline brand socket than a Britool product. I'm now waiting for a 2nd hand one to appear on Ebay. 1990 Defender 300TDi

This is the one I bought. Bahco.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002SH4...ge_o06_s00

The grip can be as shown which is very comfortable to use, or straight.

It has a good positive mechanism and has been a reliable bit of kit at a reasonable price. 2003 Td5 110 Hardtop
Now a 2013 110 USW too.

Interesting as that is the style of thing I was looking at, difference being bahco are a subsidiary of snap on which inspires much more confidence on the basis that I would sooner have a cheap Bristol than an expensive VW. It's all about research. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Snap On, same as everyone else, 26+ years old and still running strong and it's seen some abuse.
