Hi Lad's
Anyone got a manual at hand and can give me the type of grease for the prop shaft / UJ's? Thanks in advance. James p.s I managed to buy a relatively cheap little hand held grease gun to reach the front prop shaft grease nipples which are placed such that the fitting on the end of the normal grease gun cannot reach. Any high temperature grease will do - Graphite loaded is probably best.

Curious, but why a high temp grease? I've always used an NLGI No.2 Lithium or Lime based grease.
Had to turn two of my U/Jgrease nipples to get the gun to fit. Don't forget the two sliding joints! I found "little and often" seems to work best (grease in, crap out). Bosun. |

I've had many problems finding the right solution to greasing the props but the one that works using a standard grease nipple adaptor is to:
1. jack all wheels off the ground 2. Place the centre diff in neutral This allows the shafts to be turned independently allowing you to find the best position to attach the grease gun. Hope this Helps Rich, ![]() |
