Yep mines the same, still very slightly warm. God bless the air con in the summer !!!
If I remember correctly there`s a hot water valve under the bonnet, have a look at him it may not turning off fully. Excuse the spelling I`am better with spanners and wires. |

There is a known issue with 2.4 heaters in lhd vehicles, Land Rover have a fix which involves dash out and a mod to the internal matrix
If I remember correctly forum member dgardel has a copy of the land rover fix procedure |

not sure how a mod to heater matrix could help , as the valve that stops hot water from getting to the heater matrix is under the bonnet
not sure if a lhd is different set up , but guessing it would be much the same just on the other side |

Here is the heater fix as per Land Rover, but I doubt that it can help for the specific problem here. The heater fix solution is to solve the issue of warmer air blowing thru the vents at the UK driver side, than thru the left side (continental driver side) vents.
Eric https://www.defender2.net/gallery/albums/u..._fix~0.pdf You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

I'm very glad you posted this, I've just picked a new (to me) Defender up with exactly this problem. It's fine for now, but come summer it's not going to be.
The heater gets hotter as you turn it up, but I spent quite a long time with it on full cold today, where my Hyundai that I drove to pick it up I had to have at about 40% heat. |

If the heaters hot or warm when the control is set to cold then it must be a valve problem or the cable that controls the valve

I was thinking to just fit a valve somewhere along the feeding line (Series type of solution) Puma 110" SW

Finally mine was repaired yesterday. Were not the valve itself was one clip of the control wire that was broken. Check that first after try to change the valve Cheers! Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |
