France 2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Santorini Black
After 4 months.
Well,I've owned Una,our 2007 90 for 4 months now.
When we bought it,it was a basic trim level H/T but with the addition of rear windows.Since then,I have insulated and carpeted the interier, fitted Exmoor Trim heated leather seats,Momo tuner wheel.& cubby.Led light upgrade.& exhaust mid silencer removal pipe.
The seats and the Momo have made the driving position much more comfortable, with the wheel giving more elbow room, aswell as looking the bizz.
The carpets and insulation making a big diference to noise levels. We can actualy hear the stereo now. Very Happy
We returned from a 4000km,6 day round trip to visit family in the North of UK,2 weeks ago.she prooved to be a brilliant long distance cruiser, very confortable, powerful & geat to drive,a big improvment on my 300tdi's & previous Td5.Most of the journy was on motorways,at an average speed of between 100kmh to 120kmh.I didn't realy check consumption, but,it wasn't brilliant.Around 25mpg.Not a problem though,if I wanted economy I'd buy a Golf.
My plans for other mods next year are,a remap, maybee chequer plate on the wing tops & sills.I'd like to source the rear roof head lining.I'm looking to replace my current spotlights, but am undecided wether to keep the retro round spot look or go for a pair of short led light bars. Confused
Hoping ownership continues to be as pleasurable as it's been so far.
Marc.

A good positive post. As Chris said thanks for taking the time and effort to share your experience. Obviously a sound truck that has possibly already had any Gremlins ironed out. Nice to see. Enjoy it. Nice looking Defender too. Pinched it from your gallery (hope this is the vehicle) as a picture paints a thousand words.......

Exmoor trim elite diamond XS seats.

Bulkhead removal bar fitted.

I modified the cubby,by adding another 80mm deep box to the top to give enough height to act as an arm rest.Plus an extra storage compartment.

The Exmoor Seats look good.

I was wondering about fitting their premium modular seats.
