From talking to them both, they're both with Markerstudy. A-Plan are aware of problems with them but say they (A-Plan) will help if I do need assistance.
Given both companies seem to be equally incompetent at email (I have now got one from A-Plan) but A-Plan have actually been helpful and sound like they want the business I'm going to go with them. In addition they're slightly cheaper than Adrian Flux and I think there's more included in the policy. The documents they have sent me are a bit woolly, but talking on the phone I've got more confidence in them. I much prefer doing business in writing, it just means everyone knows where they stand because it's written down. Once I've got a NCB next year I'll go round again and be more demanding. I'm just getting fed up with insurance companies having spent last Friday dealing with it at work too. Our farm insurance brokers sent me the documents through to look at on Friday lunchtime which needed signing and returning to them almost immediately because they'd left it too late and the insurance was due to expire on the Sunday night There were hundreds of pages that needed going through, and it's a good thing I did because they'd left things out. I had a phone call every hour for 5 hours asking if I'd finished reading. |

Cupboard,
Please do not go with Markerstudy....If A-Plan are indeed willing to help get them to find you an alternative provider with the same level for the same price. That is what they're supposed to do as a broker NOT "Give you assurances that they will assist in the event of a claim because they are aware of problems" ......What tosh! Look at my link to the reviews about Markerstudy or do your own research.....You'd be nuts to go with them and give over your hard earnt for a policy that could be worthless. I cannot understand (perhaps I do but don't want to say publically) with all the negative reviews available to them why do reputable insurance brokers still peddle policies and risk their own reputation from underwriters that do not by any stretch of the imagination come up to scratch? Maybe A-Plan would care to comment again? After 'pressing' them several times asking them if they used Markerstudy there was finally an answer forthcoming that commenced with......
And a myriad of reasons why the bad press was evident.....none however related to the p... poor customer service I and many others have received from Markerstudy. http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic24503....arkerstudy If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Many do based on the pricing and recommendation from a broker whom are supposed to be trustworthy and get you a policy fit for your needs. Next year please do a little research. I wish I had before the dire customer service I received from Markerstudy. My broker got a price match for an alternative company with better reviews.....it's what they're supposed to do, especially if the company is suspect and has a bad history and reviews? http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic33454.html If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen, guys 'n' gals Apologies are in order. After receiving a call from Clare today, I'm happy to put the record straight and confirm that A Plan did indeed email the documents to me on the 11th December, as they promised. Unfortunately, they went straight into my junk mail and escaped my attention but that's my problem, not theirs. Sorry Clare! I've asked the Leader of the Opposition to administer 25 lashes but she says it not my lucky day.... |
