I don't have a tdci defender but my thought on the double din were, great idea but way way way overpriced!! A few places do them including (I think) 4x4 overlander who are site sponsors and have there own section in the sponsor section

Sorry for a fairly impersonal post but here's my setup and a good load of info/step-by-step/tech specs/comments etc all with pictures...
http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic26531....oid+fitted I'm very pleased and fitted it all myself so you're welcome to PM me any questions (I don't bite!) Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

You can get single din flip out too, which will do all of the same without the dash change.
Two equally viable options that do an identical job in two different formats. |

Davids is a great install love the fact that the fitting of the double din does not overshoot the heater controls quite a few do

You can access it from behind, depends on your screen angle and depth adjustment.

loving my double din set up - tried the flip out screen before...didn't like the way it restricted access to the switches - an expensive trial.
This may help in addition to the other threads.... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic30969.html |

hi all..just had this done by a company in Hertfordshire...the head unit is a Pioneer AVIC F60DAB with Apple Car Play and it has a reversing camera feed to a camera mounted on the rear. I've also added switches on the subsidiary panel for heated wing mirrors which they also installed and an existing rear work light. Unit has dedicated satnav unlike some other Apple Car Play systems as well as the usual parrot bluetooth etc.

Would love a double din in the Defender, but as long as CarPlay doesn't work with Waze and Navigon...
