Focal, Hertz or Infinity
Ok, so probably going to upgrade the speakers.

Which out of the 3 listed above have people fitted without problem and been happy with the results.

Probably also going to do the tweeters in the upper dash if people think it's worth doing?

Focal are probably best out of those three, and yes I'd change the tweeters. They are 1"

It all depends what's driving the speakers as well.

We have Hertz in our demonstrator and the sound is awesome but it took a lot of setting up using a sound processor to get the right audio image - how deep are your pockets ?

They pop out, easy enough, there is hard wiring to do though.
Unless anyone knows the exact plug type.

Too right Matt, I'm yet to know a limit! You can keep going and going.

I went for focals Inc. Tweeters (+ 2 way focals in the back) - straightforward to fit and pleased with the sound. My only slight disappointment is the alpine sub (swe1200) which I may also upgrade to focal. Defender Puma 2.2 XS 90

A lot of people are disappointed with active subs, mainly in my opinion due to the fact they aren't very powerful full stop.

For what they are the active subs do bang. You can hear one over a set of amped 6x9's !!! There restriction is there size and ability of air movement, or lack of it Having a stand alone sub should out perform every time, but dose require rather more space.
IMO Focals........ not herd any Infinity speakers for a while, and Hertz always seem to high to my ear, but we all hear things differently.

I have the focals, the alpine sub does good until you really start cranking up the volume... I'm 21 and daft so you can imagine...

I'm putting the alpine up for sale soon and going with a larger sub set up as I don't really use the load space to capacity anymore
