2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Stornoway Grey

Well, I went to see it this morning, and all (mostly) seemed well. Needs a couple of tyres, and theres a few light scratches around it, but nothing that won't polish out. There's a soft A-bar on the front that seems a bit loose, oddly, and it has what appears to be a slight oil leak, although it is due a service. Everything seems to work OK, no damp anywhere, and the oil smells just like oil. It does need a good clean, if I was being fussy, but it all seems honest enough.

Think a service (including changing the gearbox oil) will be first, followed soon after by a couple of tyres (they're not quite dead yet). Then I'll look into some of the preventative stuff mentioned here.

Good to hear it went well, I did try and look for the guide but she's tidied up and put it somewhere safe! still not sure where that is yet.

tempted by a D2, will always have an auto as i hate r380 gearchanges.

bit of a lottery buying one. get a cheap one and fix as you go or find a dear one and hope the warrenty covers it!
