Forgive my mechanical ignorance but could someone tell me where these bolts are?
I reckon I could have this problem so want to check - got car back from dealer saying 'we can find no fault with it at all' so I either imagine the clattering when coming to a halt and it not engaging 4th or they are incompetent. Cheers Ken Stornoway Grey 90 XS Focus C-Max Tdci Kawasaki ZX6R C6f |

Hi Ken, I think you will probably find its incompetent's but for your own checking, The prop shafts are the shafts coming out of the transfer box, one going forwards into the front diff and the other coming out backwards going into the rear diff. You will recognise them as they look the same etc. These are held on at either end by 4 nuts & bolts and it is these that are coming slack. Hope thios helps but if not let me know and I can meet up with you. By the way are you going to the Cheviot 4x4 winch event this Sunday? Russell. |
