No Brake or reverse lights!!
Hi Guys,

My 130 has a Quadtech back on it and i noticed that the reverse lights stopped working. The lamps are ok, so i though a fuse. I had just towed a trailer that on closer inspection had a damaged plug. It was also raining badly at the time.
But I've later noticed that my brake lights don't work either!!! All other lights fine inc fog lights.

I can't seem to find the fuse, if it is the fault. On my central fuse box, there isn't a picture of the brake or reverse. Are they linked or am i looking in the wrong place??

Any help would be amazing cause i had to drive 12mile with no brake lights!! having to switch the fog lights overtime i braked was annoying/tricky!!!

Cheers

Barry

You've not picked a colour which is why it's not showing up.

Two fuses would have to have blown for both lamps to stop working together. These are fuses 13 (brake) and 14 (reverse).

This would suggest an earth problem, but the left and right brake lights are earthed to separate places Confused  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Try adding a jumper Earth on the trailer socket to chassis.
Or unplug the loom for it, the trailer docket can cause some unusual behaviour to the rest of the vehicle.
Most likely earthing issues.
