I have no doubt that that it's good in use but it's a bit overstated and oversized. Shocked

I wonder who will foot any warranty work?

Interesting as dealer is selling a none type approved vehicle and it is modified from standard. Is this why only one dealer chain is selling them?

Vehicle is no longer emission compliant and will have not undergone full vehicle approval. Modifications from standard will invalidate LR warranty - as stated in dealer supplied documentation.

Stating that the vehicle will come with 2 ECU's means that the file has not undergone testing and signoff from LR (as if it had it would be a containerised file that could be flashed via SDD). Does this mean Bowler become liable for faults?

Ian

Bowler are an official technical partner of LR. Therefore vehicle is covered by manufacturer warranty.

Lots of dealers are now buying in to the Bowler idea, which can only be great for Drew and the boys.

I looked after Bowler when I was with Sturgess, and both ourselves and Stratstone Mayfair were the only dealers at that time.

Thumbs Up

I had this discussion with the dealer about my rear diff repairs, they tried to wriggle out of a warranty claim as I had non standard wheels until I pointed out that the same wheels were on vehicles being sold via land rover dealers and that LR UK were warranting this cars so why not mine!! After a wee bit of digging about in their computer and some muttering they had to back down!! 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon

One of my customers has a 90 version from bowler. Understanding it's all honoured by lr. This one has Ashcrofts all through too. Cheers

Bowler £1,000 is just the remap I think ... no IC. IRB or BAS for £1k could be a map and IC!

I know Bowler maps should be very good to, but either of the other 2 will be just as good if not better Wink. IMHO of course!

So what possible case could LR make for rejecting a warranty claim against an engine tuned by BAS but not bought from Bowler/branded Bowler?

BAS and Bowler ... Razz ... Never Wink Cool!

I guess perhaps part of the extra price is the fact it's warranty is still honoured ... so they build it into the price maybe? So if it's not a 'Bowler' job and you save however much ... if you have problems, you'll have to spend that difference to fix it if you get me drift!

You would like to think that for £60k the dealer could manage to get the details right on the board. The DC doesnt have a rear heated window and I cant say I have ever heard of Good Rich tyres! 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread
