New old topic? Axles Def. 130
Hello, this happens to be my first post and topic at once, yeey!!! (or NR. 2 if counting the "hello area")

How's the axle config. for pumas? In the past my 130 would have come with a salisbury axle, instead the puma uses a standard housing, dunno about the internals......

Any inputs on this?

By the way.......
30000 km and the rear diff is starting to leak and since new I've had the annoying drive flange "click" when changing torque direction (accelerating/decelerating).
+ heavy steering vibration (starting at 60km/h until 110km/h, since day 1 - i bet this one is new to you all!!!)
might be a faulty steering damper.
Faulty vacuum pump.

Saludos!

the rear diff should be a P38 type 4-pin, so not too bad. If you search in the forum youŽll find somewhere the workshop info and I believe I read there is a HD diff type (still rover type).

steering. sounds like wheel balance. Check the propshaft is ok anyway. There are many threads about the PAS, and dont think it is your problema
