Not sure if the rack is long enough on a 90, I know the Maggiolina small
pop up tents fit on an Expedition rack on a 110. If not get a set of roof bars. There are a lot of pics on Boab's website. The Maggiolina is one of the best roof tents out there. 90 300 TDI SW (sold) 130 TD5 Utility (Foley SV) (sold) 110 TD5 Hardtop (sold) 110 TDCI Utility (sold) 1st Edition Range Rover Sport Supercharged Velar P380 HSE Discovery 1 V8 auto Puma 130 Double Cab (sold) R35 GTR Defender 110 300 TDI CSW (sold) 2010 110 XS Utility |

Thanks for the lead. Rack on the 90 is only 180 cm long which is the problem. The small Maggiolina is 210. Will keep looking.

If you cut the rear rail off the rack you can fit a standard fold out tent. it would have to be a narrow one. 90 300 TDI SW (sold)

Unfortunately the Expedition rack is not ideal for roof tents especially a 90 one.
The Autohome Maggiolina roof tents are a good quality roof tent. For a roof tent on a 90 you could get away with 3 roof bars rather then the Expedition rack. If you insist on keeping the Expedition Rack your choices are to butcher the rack, or fit roof bars on top of the rack luggage rail, however that moves the centre of gravity even higher, and makes your vehicle even higher which causes problems. Best advice is choose between a roof tent on roof bars or keep the roof rack. Brendan |

I'd suggests you measure the width between the sides and then measure the exact width of the Rooftent carefully. You might find that there is insufficient room to fit the tent in and/or get access to the tent sides to open or close it or put the travel cover on......

I used a myway serengeti 1.4 on a 90 expedition rack for years. I made up 2x box section cross bars that bolted to the top rail on the rack and sat the tent on them. Worked very well. Wouldn't bother with the ladder up the back get a NAS rear step/towbar instead much easier to do all things tent standing on that with the back door open
