Yep - got it.

only covered 117.6 miles in it today Cool

as you said i love it.

it was a bit bouncy at the back, i know the hand book say the rear tyres should be 38 but i have dropped them to 33 at the moment the ride is much better. i think i will try and do the chalk test on it tho! was this sensible or should i put them back to 38, mind you it is nromally empty at the back - just the occaisional tool box or son! BM52

Nope - slept in a bed last night. only did about 20 odd miles in it today and tomorrow i am off on hols so it will have to sit there all lonely.

what really suprises me is the pull it has at any speed including 70+

it has'nt really been used, and it shows, it is literally like a brand new one.

i think the 1st change will be new speakers, i have seen a couple of threads on this but will think about it after my hols. do you have any speaker suggestions?

apart from that and getting a rubber mat for the rear floor it does'nt need anything Confused

things like ATs tyres, driving lights, roof rack, snorkle, rear bumper.......... will have to wait a while.

anyway - many thanks for all your advice and help. i thought very long and you only have one life etc etc etc Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy BM52

How about hammering along in your Puma with the theme music from Hawaii Five 0 playing on your cd player? Was saving this for when the series 111 diesel was back in action, fitting a tapedeck, buying a Hawaian shirt and going out on a winter's day with the Hawaii Five 0 theme playing on the tape deck. Somehow I think it works better in the Puma! 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

back from hols and missed the Puma

hired a Punto 1.2 and did about 500km in it. i am sure it had only about 2 torques in it. show it a hill and unless you revved the nuts off it it would slow down and down and down. city car only. i felt so exposed on the motorway.

jumped in the Puma today and the first thing i did was stall it.....yep i stalled. after a feather light clutch i was a little too abrupt on releasing it Rolling Eyes Laughing Rolling Eyes BM52

Just tripped over this thread and re-read.

My current view:
Am i depressed - No
Have i enjoyed it - Yes
What's gone wrong in 16 months - Nothing mechanical.
Warranty - replaced front and rear screen due to heating element failure on rear and patchy faults on front.
Have i regretted anything - No
After 16 months i still get that smile everytime i drive it.
It was going to be my second vehicle - it is now my 1st choice vehicle unless we have 4 or 5 up [not that often], then we use the FL.

Very Happy Thumbs Up Bow down BM52
