Electric AC fan
So my AC fan has been screeching away for a while now. Bought another one second hand and it's even worse!

They're not cheap, so is there any reason I couldn't buy something like this???

eBay Item No. 351221468452 Cheers, David

cant see any reason why not , apart from weather the mounting holes line up , but that can be overcome

its what I would do , rather then play l/r's stupid prices !!

really only thing would be as long as it moves enough air to bring condenser pressure down when its running , might be worth putting a set of a/c manifold gauges on to check pressures , not 100% but think a/c fan is controlled by pressure switch anyway so if fan cuts in and out guess it should be ok , but maybe worth checking on gauges

with no air or too little air the condenser can go too higher pressure and get hot which doesn't do the compressor much good and a/c wont work as in get cold inside

Having spent years dunking my old one in and out of mud, water, slurry, without a problem I can't understand why you would have two that are both noisy.

Are you sure what you are fixing them to is flT, and not distorting the fan, causing the noise? Have you bench tested the fans, whilst not fitted on the vehicle?
