Doesn't look much good for a real overland trip despite the nice picture on their web site.

Looks a neat piece of kit and I like the modulated concept, being German you can bet your bottom Deutsch Mark it will be well-engineered and at a horrendous premium as a result.
My Patriot is fitted all the time and whilst it may not look particularly pretty I can at least get a sponge underneath it to clean the roof when needed. The rack depicted looks like it may take a while to remove perhaps? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

I like it,
Probably will be quite heavy due the structure used (metal sheet), but it is a good idea in my opinion. Cheers! Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |

Funnily enough this is very similar to a design I have been working on for a couple of months. Was about to build a prototype in steel before getting it lazer cut in Ally. The nice thing about it on an overland truck is that it acts like the old Series Safari roofs which give additional cooling in hot countries which is great for us oldies without AC.,
