[For Sale] Mini Mayfair A reg

A classic bit of British heritage - Genuine 1983 Austin Mini Mayfair
It has been stored in the workshop ready for a strip down and build. It has got a 1200cc newly built engine under the bonnet and two boxes of spare parts. It has had various parts added such as racing seats and chrome handles etc, new oe chrome side strips and arches, Genuine GB wheels, brand new painted bonnet, new bumper + original and new light lenses, grill etc. Overall its a very straight little mini. It has been painted in battleship grey. It does need finishing and unfortunately i do not have the time to do this even though its only minimal to get it going. The engine has been running so we know it is good to go. I have a small list of bits which need completing to get the mini running. It is currently SORN but the last MOT advisorys was ball joint ends which have now been replaced and a footwell hole which needs welding (new panels are only £16.00 from minispares) the original engine is also included in the sale aswell along with a box of spares

Chassi and undercarriage is very very solid it could do with a repair to the drivers footwell (panel £16.00) and the rear valance could do with repair or replace again these are only cheap (£34.00) i can provide links to these parts.
V5 and past mot certificates are provided in a folder.

Chris, can you clarify on the engine? What stroke/bore does it have? www.td5.org

looking at the picture would have been a 998 as standard looks like its out of later mini by the thermostat housing
called a a+1300 engine ,but depends if its been bored or not , engine number should be 12------
+020 bore gives 1293cc
+060 bore gives 1340cc
so somewhere between them unless your boring to use ford or powermax,omega pistons etc which then you can go 100ish thou bore , but doubt it as really you would need to off set bore it to get to 1360-1380
its a late ish a+ block as its got the number cast at the top under no4 plug early a+'s didn't have that

doubt its been stoked as it would need original s rods then your getting expensive to get to 1400-1420 or stroke but bore less to give a higher revving engine
