Just got my windows tinted
It's a basic necessity here if you want some relief from the baking Aussie sun, but I'm not sure if it would score a bit high on the pimped scale! Click image to enlarge |

Aye,
You'd have to be a class 1 nutter to own a black car out here, the air con struggles even in a white car when it's 45 degrees outside. I'd never have considered a white Landy back in Blighty, but there's not an ounce of salt on the roads out here and we only have rain for 6 months in 12 so it takes a wee while longer for the famous LR corrosion protection to falter! |

Nice.... we're not allowed to do the fronts in such a dark shade. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Yes all above board the company 'Tint-a-Car' (original!) market it as their 'Darkest Legal Tint'
It's quite a novelty as it contains some kind of metallic element to block out/reflect heat and UV rays but as a side-benefit it's quite hard to see in from the outside. The 'Land Rover Wave' only works through the front windscreen which has to remain un-tinted by law. I've slowed down to say hi to friends in the street and the look of horror on their faces until I wound down the window suggested that they thought it was going to be some kind of hit! |
