Yeah...some great & inspiring piccies there. I need to get back to Harris...only ever done the outer Hebrides by bike...need to get the Defender over there Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

October was pretty good for me as it was fairly quiet, and was really lucky with the weather. That said, it was right at the end of the season, so a few places were closed - think September is the last month you can go if you want to guarantee everything will be open. Without wishing to hijack your thread I've posted some pics of our fantastic two weeks in September up around the Western Isles when we towed our rib up and based ourselves at Resipole on Loch Sunart, taking in the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, Sound of Mull, Tobermory, Oban etc, etc.
Not a single drop of rain for two weeks....and some of the freshest, most wonderful seafood I've ever eaten including some scallops that were in the pan 30 minutes after leaving the seabed. Awesome. It's reports like these that keep my mind set on finishing my camper unit/conversion whenever I encounter a setback and wonder why the bloody h3ll I embarked on that project
