Eric you are lucky, on the German side of the country they don't seem to design for 4WD at all
I bought an auto car wash card for SOGAR in Deutsche Strasse here in Chur and the 90 TD5 will not even activate the sensors to open the auto wash cabinet doors Too tall? No idea .. but no matter how I approach the wash, the doors will not open... drive away, next car .. doors open .. so it is me, not a malfunctioning sensor. Trying to figure out how to complain in German that the bloody doors will not open .. Sold the much modified 110 2.8, in Oz Brought the 90 home from Switzerland ... |

Hello ericvv
Your two choices of 4x4 car wash, look to be professional bits of kit... I can see why your Defender always looks like its just left the showroom... I wouldn't trust the normal offering in the UK, even if they claim to be OK... Also, how else other than washing your Defender by hand, do you get to spot the next area needing attention... Hi ericvv - I keep looking at your photos and can't work out what that bracket thing is that seems to be attached to the base of your rear door on the left (handle side) of the rear wheel? Perhaps you could enlighten me?

^^ That's the locking mechanism of my Kaymar wheel carrier.
Here a few pictures with more detail. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge It isn't cheap, but then again, it saves me the lay-out for a rear door gas strut Click image to enlarge Eric You never actually own a Defender. Nope, regretfully not
That is a Russian license plate, (what else?), and the 190 location code at the end is one of the registration codes for the Moscow area. You never actually own a Defender.
