Could be, or slight fuel delivery obstruction or more likely a MAF misreading or EGR stuck open a little.
More complicated issues may be fuel rail pressure or turbo leakage. Most things boil down to something very simple. Nearly every issue I've ever had has been EGR related and nothing else, you'd not even realise it hardly until you notice the difference. |

Mine started with those symptoms, then it was hardly able to go beyond 120 km/h and finally it couldn't go beyond 60 km/h - it was the EGR. It felt almost like a rocket when a new one was fitted. 88 Ser. 3 1980 -sold

Thanks folks will check egr but will be annoyed if it is that as the new one has only been on about 6 months........
