Thanks. might be a long one. Im gonna stick it in my garage until next spring. Spend some time planning the spec
Im going to try and get the rolling chassis together myself and then get the landie garage I use to drop my body on I think. If I can get it done by middle of next year that would be fine by me. A nice V8 soft top by the start of summer would be good! |

I'm really looking forward following your project, allways wanted to have a 110 V8 softtop for familytrips in the summer. How many seats will she have and are you going to fit a roll cage? And I would vote for a building thread too! By the way, perfect choice with the engine, had the 4,2 in my RRC, loved the sound even though she was a very very heavy drinker.
Good luck!!! Kraut |

Well seems someone else had the same idea as me, but was prepared to pay more for it !!
The chassis was what I was after until I realised that a new one doesnt cost much more anyway, and I was busy at work when bidding finished. Phew ! Best to ring RPI and ask if they have any info on the engine, I'm sure you wont be the first to ask about it. |

Ha! I was in London on holiday and thought screw it lol. Stuck £20 on each lot and it dropped. Couldn't believe it. I didn't even view them. As it happens the engine looks well worth it. I'm going to find the engine number and give them a bell. I've also asked the receiver for the Rpi receipt. All that being said its provided the impetus to start the project, so that's worth something.
I'll be creating a build log in due course! |

Rang RPI today with engine number at hand. Turns out my 4.2 is actually a 4.6 stage3+ engine direct from RPI. Over 6k's worth, or more if you look at the ebay advert from RPI. chuffed.
The carbon fibre intake is worth as much as i paid for the engine lol! Cant wait to start building this thing up |
