I've done the MR and it's great event. Challenging enough but not that gnarly that you're wondering whether you'll ever drive your truck home.

One thing I would say to anyone who fancies it is be prepared to destroy the paintwork on your car. Much of the driving is through overgrown wooded sections and tracks lined with prickly bushes that no amount of rubbing with T-Cut is ever going to get rid of!

On the 2 events I have done,2011 and 2014.
I definately agree about the overgrown track scratching your paintwork.
But as for it not being too severe.
This year 2 trucks rolled, numerous dropped out through breakages.
Some of the sections were very tough indeed.Needing front and rear lockers to have a chance of getting through them.
Anyone wanting to do this event.I would do it soon because it's only a matter of time before the tree huggers have their way & get it banned.

OK,So the Mille Riviers is over for another year. Sad
What an event.....In places very, very tough & technical.Ranging from mild green laneing to full on winch challenge.
The event was over 3 days.
Day 1,comprised around 80% off road 20% road, around 130kms in total. Two section included huge slippery rock steps and wet roots. Thumbs Up
Day 2,Started very wet with torential rain, steady start with more green lane style driving. But with a sting in the tail. The last 2 or 3 kms wer on private land, very much like a trial, tight and twisty between trees and stumps, with steep slippery climbs. Many trucks without lockers wre having to be winched through.
Day 3.Started off with the reverse of the end off day 2,made doubly bad by the fact 200 vehicles having churned up the course the day before.
I'll get some pics up when I've had time to download them.
Marc.
