Does the General GRABBER AT2 235/85 R16 have a snowflake?
I am looking to swap the OEM tyres on my 110 UW when it gets delivered next week for a set of AT2's

I have done a lot of research (web based) and hence have chosen this tyre as it appears to be the best all year tyre that also performs in snow. However during the research it's come up that some size of AT2s have the snowflake symbol and some don't. Apparently this is because that certain sizes of tyre weren't submitted for testing.

The reason I ask is that I drive to the Alps a few times a year and if I don't have the snowflake, then I need snow chains (if the police are around) and I'd rather just have acceptable tyres.

Before I get my credit card out, please can anyone clarify this?

Many thanks

Sorry don't know about the snowflake but can only say you've picked a bl**dy good tyre for the snow. Thumbs Up

For what it's worth, I've just bought 4 in that size and they don't appear to have a snowflake.

NOTE: While many of the Grabber AT2 On-/Off-Road All-Terrain tires meet industry severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol, some do not. Specific tires/sizes not meeting the industry's requirements are identified with a "Not Rated For Severe Snow" notation on Sizes & Prices, as well as on Specs. Grabber AT2 tires are designed to accept optional #13 metal studs to enhance ice traction.

weird as my 235/85 16's don't - at least that I can see. They're on with the white lettering facing out - maybe the snowflake is on the other side? I'll examine later but as far as I can see. there's no snowflake.

To avoid confusion however in answer to the OP's question, simple answer is yes

General Grabber AT2 are IMHO one of the best AT tyres you can have for the winters we have in this country.

Some would say "Jack of all trades but master of none". Thumbs Up Andy.
