I'm exploring all avenues at the moment Steve, I could rebuild with liners etc but it's still no guarantee it will work
Sanderson fork lift? Could you take a few snaps of the engine? Cheers Darrenn. we brought a ford tractor years and years ago , it was a ford whitlock digger with blown engine
and we got a engine out of a road drill compressor , the big towable ones not sure which one it was , but if I remember rightly it was a 3cyl sorry that's all I can remember and that's a bit vague !! just thought this might help |

think they were fitted in lots of different things , compressors, tractors , forklifts
think a old climax forklift we had in a yard was same we sold the whitlock to a mate of mine , who let it freeze over winter and cracked the block , but I think it may still be sitting round the back of his barn rotting away , if I go up there I will try to have a look |

Will keep my good eye out for you.
I was going to ask if you wanted a proper safety cab for it, but the one I have doesnt fit 3000, only the 4/5000 models 1 |

Thanks for the replies chaps you've got me searching the web for forklifts and compressors now.
I'd really like it to work as it's got a great jib attachment that fits on the loading arms to make it into a mini crane and overall it's a sturdy little tractor, better than my David Brown. Thought I'd found a lump from a Climax forklift, but the seller found a hole in the block Cheers an keep em peeled.
