My 90 in standard form would sit at 80 happily, the aerodynamics then take over and is a bit of an effort to get to top speed was somewhere between 85 and 90. 2003 Defender 90 Td5 CSW Belize Green - "Betty"

I was on private road off-course:
Click image to enlarge This was on 35" Simexes but with a PSI power box. I had still some throttle to play with but I found it quick enough. Sounds like mine is pretty normal then. Came back from Glasgow this afternoon and stuck at 70mph and once settled wasn't too bad.
Did the same before the snorkel was fitted so don't think it made any difference. Still think I will do the BAS or Alive tune and an intercooler when I have saved up. Thanks for all the responses by the way, that's why I like this site |

Can only have been in Holland... Altitude 3 meter under sea level. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

I've had our TD5 HiCap at 70 with a trailer (total of about 2t and a bit of a funny shape) on a closed private runway, and it was (power wise) quite happy sitting at that.
Ears wise, I wasn't. |

That's correct I live on the sea bottom, a little deeper than 4 m below sea level and with the phone on the dash it would be close to -3 Roel 1984 90 2.5 na Diesel - RR V8 (1994-2001) 1997 Camel Trophy Discovery 300TDI (2001-2009) 2005 G4 Discovery III 4.4 V8 (2008-2018) It's gone but it still hurts. 2003 90 Td5 (2009-now) |

My Td5 130 HCPU will get to 85 (on the speedo ) without too much trouble. Just don't bother with the radio then...
A comfortable cruise is 70-75mph though... Defender 130 HCPU Td5 MY2000 |
