Hi 'Mad-Cow,

Do i know you then? Wink You don't show dogs do you?

I never got on with the Disco2, I hated the thing and would never touch one again. Having said that I know lots of people who have got/had one and swear by them and I do think they are a decent enough vehicle for other people - just not me!

I've got a Defender now and love it to bits, we've just had our first family holiday to the Lakes (trial run with our 20-wk old daughter) and it was superb! Cruised nicely at 70, did a run back and forth over Wrynose and Hardknott Passes, The Struggle and Kirkstone Pass. The only down side is I feel she could do with more top-end power. The bottom end torque seems out of portion to the top end power, so I end up short-shifting as there are no gains to be made revving her.

Glad you enjoying the Disco2 though!

Harvey

Harvey

No don't show dogs but used to be in the Rights of Way Officer for the Freelander Club and in MAD Freelanders. Not sure we ever met but used to converse via the forums, better known as Tony F on those forums.

DII is long gone having had a (pre Defender) 90, another Freebie and now my 90 Hard Top in the mean time.

Cheers

Ahh yes Mr. Ferrari(?),

I do remember you Wink Long time no hear. Hope you're keeping well and its good to see you still enjoying the Land-Rover stable. I have to say I think this might be my last LR, well unless the new Defender replacement is any good and a commercial vehicle.

Cheers Harvey

Saw an ad in LRO for a stand-alone TDV6 ECU for about £2.5k - means you can mount the engine in anything you like. Wasn't Pete though.
