After much searching around online and with thread gauges I can now confirm that the thread in the end of the CV joint (for pulling it out of the hub/drive flange) is 7/16" BSW (British Standard Whitworth) - 14tpi.
Seen many other threads listed online, all wrong. So if anyone wants to know from now on, hopefully they will find this thread ![]() Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

I too use a half shaft bolt, but I'm sure I'll have an old prop bolt that I can use next time I take out the C/V joint.

Sadly prop shaft bolts are 3/8" UNF so wont fit.
I realise you can use one of the M10 drive flange bolts, indeed this is what the manual advises. However it is not the correct bolt for the thread and depending what people are trying to do with the CV joint might not be appropriate. This is the point of me posting this thread as I had not found the correct thread details anywhere else. Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |
