Take a photo of the orientation of the hi/lo mechanism before you take it appart,so when you put it back you can see it goes in the corect way round.

Cheers will do.

I hope after all this the noise I have goes away. But if not on the plus side, I have a t/c with 50k less miles on it, I will have lower gears, will have replaced the bearings in the front and rear outputs and have new gaskets.
The current TC has some play in the front output bearing and also a leak from the rear of the TC. 1999 Defender TD5 110
