I have fitted them front and rear in my 90 , and they are superb.
Completely blanking off the "designed in" mud traps and almost creating a sensible arch liner effect. Biggest ballache was removing the original fittings, the upper rears being the worst , after only 3 years, all needed drilling out, as access for moleys etc was limited. Granted they are not exactly technical, but the ease of simply pushing the buy it now button, and a complete and comprehensive kit with fittings , instructions etc turning up makes it worth the cost. Can't fault them at all really as they hide/cover all the crevices mud would accumulate in and minimise potential rear light wiring/corrosion issues. I cleaned thoroughly around the rear x member before fitting and couldn't believe just how much crap I removed!! |

Fitted the fronts yesterday and they're very good. Two screws per side and slide up between the plastic liner and the bulkhead.
Rears look a bit more tricky as the shield is in two parts for my USW but when it stops raining I'll get on with it. Which is ironic really. 2003 Td5 110 Hardtop Now a 2013 110 USW too. |

Thanks everyone, I think I'll get a set when I get my new one. Might even put a coat of POR15 Top Coat (as it's known now, formerly Chassis Black) on these areas as well for a belt and braces job.

I've had the front ones on from new, although I extended the original but relocated mudflaps down a bit with some 4mm rallying material as Gwyn's kit still leaves them too high to stop crud being thrown up onto the underside further behind them.
I made my own for the back, along with complete wheel arch liners. The material Gwyn uses for his kits is £36 for an 8' x 4' sheet, but it was a lot of work: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I've since dispensed with the original rears and extended my own down with the same 4mm stuff as the fronts, as the turbulence resulting from the arrangement in my first picture threw all the cack up into the space between them! My set-up is very much on-tarmac only of course. |
