Yeh, I enjoyed seeing all the different vehicles on show. But I got more enjoyment walking around the carpark and looking at everyone elses Defenders. Kinda made my 110 look a bit sorry for itself though

Don't get me wrong seeing some of the amazing machines was good and I got loads of ideas & spent some money, but I still thought the show was better a couple or 3 years ago even though the country was being hit by heavy down poors and flooding left right and centre.

You are welcome Russ. It was good to meet you and other forum users. Shows are different things to different people. From our point of view (i.e. other side of fence/stand) we had a good weekend. Hard work, met some interesting people, who had some interesting plans. Also some 'chancers' wanting 30% discount on stuff costing £14. Wonder what they would say to their boss if the boss wanted to slash their wage by 30% Brendan |

Im afraid a lot of the shows attract a lot of the "Jed and his £1500.00 swamp stomper" brigade Brendon, hense them haggling and being tight arseholes...they are usually northerners like willy ekerslike
A nice set of tree sliders is worth over 20% of their vehicles most of the time. On the Allisport stand, if a client wanders over wearing camo trousers, rigger boots, a high vis vest and a bush hat its a mad dash who can hide in the covered trailer first The amount of times weve heard.."ive got a 200tdi with over 200bhp" is astounding You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things |

Only just spotted this thread.
I was there Saturday and Sunday, if anyone happened to find the GLASS stand, that was my 90 parked next to it. See you at Stoneleigh where I will again be on the GLASS stand or at Peterborough where I may well be on the National 4x4 Response stand.... that's if I get off my butt and actually book it MAD COW 2007 90 Hard Top - 2009 BMW F800GS - 2002 CCM 604E Dual Sport Project90 |

I got the final parts to my mantec window guards, a clutch claw, various bits and bobs from mudstuff (lovely people), a new cover for my trailer and one of those lifesaver Jerry cans (it was the end of the day and I couldn't resist!). Very restrained, I thought! One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |
