Must admit that after looking at all the options I think I'd stick with the std one but done slightly differently Wink

+10 the standard grill suits the vehicle - anything else looks like its Carlos Fandango - the only alternative grill imho that would look good would be a Stage 1 V8 galvanised

I went a different route, bit more utilitarian with a classic twist. Well that's what I call it anyway Whistle

They all look nice, after looking at the pictures I do like the look of the KBX one but I'm sticking with my XS one

I really like the standard grille and got our local dealer to paint it indus silver. Very happy with the result. I also did the inside dash. Ended up like the silver pack but I didn't have to wait a couple of extra months

Not the best photos but here we go. I also splurged and got the all black leather premium seats.

Wife laughs at me as I constantly smiling when I driving!

I do like the Stage 1 V8 front end treatment, and prefer it to the later plastic grilles. One thing about the standard grille that bugs me is the way that sonner or later they always seem to sag in the middle. Mine is now discretely straightened by the addition of some carefully located cable ties.

JWL - your grille and front end treatment is (in my personal opinion) one of the best, and is what LR should have done as standard. A tastefully updated Stage 1 V8 look! Thumbs Up

I currently have the black KBX front grille and I am thinking of changing this back to the original Defender Grille, but would like to paint this Gloss Black (it's currently Brunel Silver) - what would be involved in this - will the whole bumper need to be sanded first to gain a perfectly smooth finish, etch prime, gloss spray paint then clear lacquer? 2016 Defender 90xs SW - Santorini Black with Silver Pack

^^ Maybe we should (as a forum) sort out some kind of grill swapping system. That way we can change the look of out Defenders - say every 6 months - ideal
Maybe we could introduce wheels, bumpers, roof racks..... the list is endless Thumbs Up

Ok I did the change. I have installed a KBX in Brunel Silver. Now I have an OEM grille and light surrounds in perfect order to get rid of. Anyone needing a spare? The grille includes the original Land Rover badge.
Also I have 2 front light guards and 2 rear guards (the ones in metal, original from Land Rover) if anyone is interested. My Land Rover doesn't have problems... it has features to keep me entertained doing DIY

That's exactly what I did, sanding, one layer of prime, 3 layers of gloss black, 1 layer of clear lacquer. With a careful wet sanding (highest grit) between layers.

I am very pleased with the result!
