and the Engine Management Light has come on in the 90. Had the Q6873927v96/zwhatever engine software update in April when the clutch was replaced. Anyone here take odds on EGR?
Booked in to Dealer next Saturday who will make appropriate noises to LR to get it sorted, despite being out of warranty by less than a week. Conveniently for me I'm at that "shall I, shan't I" stage on whether to keep the D3 or chop it for something else, so will be interesting to see how this develops. 54 Freelander modded for mud 2008 D3 SE 2010 90 XS SW 1978 88 Series 3 undergoing surgery with a new owner 2007 90 County Truck Cab - gone 2006 D3 SE - gone 2004 Freelander Sport - gay 1999 Disco V8 ES rotted to bits |

I'd guess, if your egr valve is original, that this may well be the problem - simply because this same pattern of fault has happened to more than 1 fellow Puma owner (including myself) recently. Mine was chocked with carbon. I'm now told to drive my vehicle like a 2 stroke every now and then - say, drop it into 4th @ 100km/h for a few minutes on the freeway, once in a while.
Good luck - hopefully LR won't take up the role of the fellow on the RHS of your avitar. |
