New member, new truck
Hi all, my defender 2 arrived this morning. only 1800 miles on the clock. It has the Quadtech 1 box on but that is coming stright off and a hicap butt inplace until i sell the white 130 then a tipper will go on the back.
Hope you like the pics. I am itching to go for a drive but need the insurance cert so i can tax her.

Yep, time to start swapping bits over, tyres, winch/bumper, tow bar and then fit hi cap butt when that arrives.

Anyone know of any mud i can drive through?!

Nice to see a fellow 130, I`m loving mine, Epson green with canvas back, canvas seat covers, mud rails, sony cd player with Bluetooth (£70 odd and works brliantly, microphone etc built in, uses normal speakers )

What are you going to do with the back body ?

I would the streering stops in on mine, made a big difference, in fact it now turns tighter than an off the peg 110, which surprised the guys at Eastnor when I challenged them to a turning circle test ! I also had the back body spray lined in a grey colour Line-X, tough as old boots. LED side and rear light bulbs in clear lenses look great and are much brighter.

Having transmission issues still, no major problem but something`s not quite right, more noticable with 1.2 tonnes in the back..

Wow Sib, i would love to see pictures of your 130. i am putting a hi cap back on then a tipping back later on.
Yes JSt its for tree surgery and transporting me my dog and Fiancee. You met me with my white 130 on a winch course back in March.

Not sure whether to swap the wheels straight over or have the tyres put on the wolf rims? Any thoughts out there?

i'd get the tyres put onto the wolf rims, they offer better caliper protection, are stronger and less prone to rim damage and hold the bead better. Cheers

will post some pics if I knew how...

I`m totally hooked on the wolf rims now, not only are they superior in every respect, I think they really suit the look of the 130, especially with the Michelin tyres which are much better all rounders than they should be ! I use mine for work (we sell stone flooring so often a tonne or so of stone samples are fork lifted into the back, as well as bespoke furniture so I`m often towing big box trailers around to various shows etc) and also for play with all sorts of camping/kayaking/biking stuff . I`m always amazes at how much the stuff the back of the 130 can carry, we seem to take the whole of the house with us on holiday..
