Spare wheel stolen
Had my dual finish spare wheel stolen last night. Stolen from a premier inn in Coventry, parked outside reception with CCTV. Wish I had been there to help them remove it Twisted Evil

Thats a lesson to everyone...what might appear safe is not. Sorry to hear your loss....just as well they left the rest of the vehicle....look on the bright side, you could have been walking.

Yes had a locking wheel nut fitted. It was the premier inn in Binley just off the A46.

There have been several stolen on the forum if you do a search, with various ideas how to prevent this including locking and a 3mm security plate which I use. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Police went today to check the CCTV, apparently could just make out my vehicle which was 10 metres from the manned reception. Could not make anything out so case closed!

Pain in the arris Sad

It annoys me how often you see CCTV footage and it is the same quality as a 1960's Tv broadcast and yet the fairly cheep mobile phone I have in my pocket can capture far better footage in just as bad light!

Sorry to hear it dude but rather one wheel than 5.

Bummer, most CCTV is crap at night unless it's the newer HD stuff. How do they get the bloody locking nut off? I lost a key to one once and it was a right swine to remove by drilling it out, they must have had a load of keys to try? As others have said at least they didn't take your car!! Andy

Thanks all, agree it could have been worse, I have some reasonable measures to slow toe rags down inside the vehicle, it now makes me think about all the other un bolt able items, I feel a spend coming on! Shocked

CCTV footage is notoriously bad. I ran a building in Leicester once where there was a stabbibg...because we hadnt chamged the time clock on the recording over to winter time the police didnt even take the footage (as it would be unreliable evidence??) which clearly showed the assailant stuffing the knife under our hedge to hide it. unbelievale the world has gone mad!
