35k miles and still going ... I will replace them soon for high performance ones as I don't like the original pads that much!

Mine is used on end off-road. Wet sand is very bad for brake pads, clay is a lot better.
I change my rear brakes also a few times a year depending where I drive. Mr. Green Roel

do you have to remove the wheel to check the pad wear?

What is considered replacement wear level. How much of the pad can still be left?
