Warranty jobs - door seal/missalignment
Hi All,

My MY13 is in for its first service.

Have asked them to look at a couple of items whilst its in one of them being the ability to see daylight through the bottom of the door seals and pillar/panel gap on both sides.

The dealer response was 'they are all like that sir, it's to let the water out after wading'

As you can imagine I disagreed - anyone had this issue and what was the fix?

Cheers

John

The dealer is totally wrong as usual, that feature is for the self cleaning of the interior foot wells on wet days. Whistle

I had a similar mis-fit on the drivers door, stealer deniued there was anything wrong but had several goes at trying to improve. Finally I got them to remove the seat box due to a poor fitting gasket and when they put it back together they used quite a bit of pressure here and there to improve the fit very slightly. I am convinced that somewhere early in the build there is something misaligned that is probably causing the poor fit. Living with it now but not really happy. 2.2 90 XS
