United Kingdom 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Java Black
Grill replacement or not
Hi guys,

I need your input here. I have a black 2007 - 110 which I love to bits and where I have done several small modifications. Now, as the next DIY/improvement project (i.e. blow some money for my beloved Black Sheep), I was thinking of replacing the front grill and headlamp surrounds with the SVX-style aftermarket replacements. I like the looks of my Defender, but I also like the SVX style.

What do you think, shall I replace it or not? My Land Rover doesn't have problems... it has features to keep me entertained doing DIY

Personally I'm not a great admirer of the SVX look but of course it's entirely up to you and whatever floats your boat old fruit. Steve.

KBX Thumbs Up
They've also got a Signiture one which is a little different but more expensive.
New this year, I'm not a massive fan prefer the original premium but worth a look.

^^ Is that painted? One of the problems with the OE grille is that it's not glossy and also fades.

I'm not 100% sure but it's a lot cheaper to sand, prime, paint and lacquer the standard ones than buy a KBX, and you can have colour of your choosing.

The standard ones seem almost textured so I agree with you, those fitted by LR in the black pack must be painted
