Exhaust Smell
Hi

I have a 2004 TD5 hard top.

Truck drives and runs great.

The problem is that I often get the smell of the exhaust in the cab, especially when stopped at lights. My question is, is this a common Landy thing, I am only six months into ownership and the "experience" or is it something else. Its no horrendous but you do notice it. Thoughts are a cracked manifold or duff rear door seals and the proximity of the exhaust to the rear door.

Cheers

Look at the passenger side foot well from the engine bay, there is a 2 inch hole that the aircon pipes would run through if it was fitted and that is a common place for engine bay smells to get in the cab.

Exhaust manifold can warp leading to exhaust leaks (look for soot stains around manifold to head joint) can be accompanied by a whistle/screech at high boost. 2005 Td5 90 XS

Check there isn't either a hole in the exhaust along the mid section and that all the joints are done up properly too.
