How do you store, save and follow Wikiloc routes?
I know nothing about them. Andy |

I have downloaded the wikiloc app... apparently you can then follow the route using the gps on the phone or even record your own routes.... not sure if you will get charged for data - does anybody know? A better option would be to use compe land gps on a laptop with a GPS receiver but you would have to buy the maps and software.
Not sure about data charges as it would depend on your provider. When I went out in may I paid £1 for 100mb just to download emails etc ( with EE ) they did do other bundles but I did not need data very much |

I'd really like to have a go in the Pyrenees....we are doing the Portsmouth Bilbao crossing for a family holiday next year....anyone know of a short route near the Biarritz side where as a family we could do some easy tracks for a couple of days and wild camp ?
Is it legal to wild camp around there ? |

We are off in three days, and still not got round to plotting any routes . Bloody work, just keeps getting in the way.

Is an old 110 ex mod with a n/a 2.5 suitable for the pyrenees...i know they are slow but mine just keeps going on for ever. Just worried if i went "in a convoy" that i would not be able to keep up on roads(can only do about 60 on flat roads). I keep her in good nick, and keep it sealed so no leaks of oil...or any other foul liquids lol.
Just viewed the videos of the series one's and they managed very well by the looks of things. Also i always keep my camping gear to the absolute minimum...backpacking lite style. steve. |

Have a look here
http://vibraction.pagesperso-orange.fr/espagne/espagne.htm They do great road books of routes in the Pyrenees & lots of other places. We did RB 1 Val D'Arran earlier this year, absolutely brilliant. All doable in a standard Landy. Enjoy & have a safe trip. Marc. |

Landy Andy - first time I've seen your wagon, very nice mate. Hope it didn't get scratched, far too shiny!
Cooper tyres by any chance, they look like it? |

No. Not too shiny for a bit of fun, but all good this trip.
Tyres are BFG km2's. Very happy with them. Will get some more photos up soon Thanks tom for the insider info, although you are in trouble with a certain land lady that hasn't seen you for too long. Andy |
