I am pleased to announce that Lookers Park Royal (LPR) have returned to the forum as site sponsor.
For those of you who have been members for a while, you may remember that LPR was a sponsor from 2008 until I moved to another dealership in late 2012, at which point LPR’s interaction fizzled out slightly! So, after just under two years away from LPR I have now returned as General Manager, and what a time to re-join!! Not only are we soon to be launching the Discover Sport, but as a dealership we are nearing the final stages of building our new Jaguar Land Rover facility. Our new dealership is planned to open in the New Year just 100m from the current location in West London. It will be spread over three floors, will boast a 60+ car JLR showroom, 27 bay technical facility, and a hugely impressive Service Reception foyer meaning that dropping your car off for service will be more akin to arriving at a hotel. Clearly we will be inviting all forum members to come and see the new facility when it opens in early 2015! I will give you regular updates over the coming weeks and months as the development goes through its final stages. In the meantime, we are on the usual telephone number 0208 992 2299 and would love to hear from you should you need anything. My role has changed slightly meaning that I am not always on site at the dealership or have access to PM’s etc, therefore for any specific requirements please feel free to contact one of the team as follows for a swifter response: Barry Palmer – New Car Sales Manager – barrypalmer@lookers.co.uk Spencer Lang – Used Car Sales Manager – spencerlang@lookers.co.uk Rob Davis – Finance Manager – robdavis@lookers.co.uk Gary Foxley – Service Manager – garyfoxley@lookers.co.uk Andy Harding – Parts Manager – andrewharding@lookers.co.uk If you could put ‘Forum Member’ in the subject of any emails then it would be appreciated. We really look forward to engaging with the forum again and bringing you news from both the dealership and Land Rover. James Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

LOL!!
Don't worry..... I more than most appreciate LR's roots. I'm setting off from LPR in the next 30 mins to Hook Road for the L2B in a Defender, in convoy with a Lightweight and a 109! Trust me when I say that 'us purists' have nothing to worry about when it comes to the future developments James Last edited by James @ LPR on 4th Oct 2014 3:08pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Hello James,
We're a friendly bunch here... but will take some convincing. JLR's idea of a replacement 'Defender' may be very different than ours. I'm no Luddite, working in NPD, I've driven nothing else than Defenders for 25 years, changing what took LR either too long to change or didn't bother with. It's a real shame that it's all caught up with the most iconic vehicle on the planet and the solution is to scrap what should have been an on-going process in development. We have 'nothing to worry about', that's dangerous talk on here...(but I hope you'r right) Click image to enlarge well you wanted to 'engage' with the Forum again... Welcome (back) James and LPR...
You have a clean slate as far as I'm concerned, as I was not a D2 member, or even Landy owner last time around... But, I may well be looking for a new truck at some point next year... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

Popped into Lookers today to book the 50th in for a couple of minor things.
Not entirely sure it is booked in as computer system didn't recognise a Defender as a Land Rover...... It all seemed rather chaotic with a customer having a rather loud row over service charges. All in all on first contact got a rather less than warm and fuzzy. The Rules:- 1 Buccaneer comes back alive. 2 Chicks dig scars. GB260 |

Thanks Buccaneer.
Its a shame that I wasn't on site to see you today..... currently at our regional HQ. Sounds a little hectic at LPR today as we are having a new Dealer Management system installed. I've forwarded a copy of your PM to garyfoxley@lookers.co.uk to keep an eye on your booking. James |
