Knew your village rang a bell. I used to be based at Laarbruch near Weeze. We used to shop at the small American BX at Kalkar. Am heading to Germany myself in the Defender week after next but travelling further east.
Welcome If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Looks great - classic and understated look. Maybe some Germanic DNA in my own approach to specifying a 2014 Defender? Interesting to note you also chose to leave the wheel arch extensions black. Enjoy your new Defender! Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

CUthbert, yep, there must be some DNA working last updates on my truck, Mike Sanders anti corrosion is done, new steering is in. well, not so in style with retro look, but gives much better feeling and comfort Cuthbert, how are your wheels? are they noisy? my mt/r Wranglers are. I tried conti cross at- what a difference! Click image to enlarge |

Nice to see one with the steering wheel on the correct side Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

The OEM spec Michelin Latitude Cross are surprisingly quiet running around local roads and on the motorway - not much road noise and certainly no whine at higher speeds. The bad news is that they aren't so grippy in mud. I'm thinking as winter (snow) approaches I should have spec'd the heavy duty wheels and Wrangler MTR's - grip suddenly seems more important than road noise. I wish you many miles of happy motoring. |

thanks Cuthbert, I will consider your experiences,..Btw I do not really trust in 4 season tires in winter, real winter tires are the best for snow imho. I am watcing some deals for AT/r tires on the ebay, will see how much luck I have...
next upgrade : cubby box ( i do not have one at all) and a carpet set ..at least for the rear |
