Italian food recommendations
Ok so week after next I am doing some missionary work with the heathen savages down in and around Windsor Very Happy . I'm assuming that you local types have caught on to the joy of Italian cuisine? Where is worth a look and where is best avoided? Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Sebastian's come recommended even though I've never been there, But I found Carluccios good (as in Antonio Carluccios) it's in the Station undercovered bit)
I'm More of a curry person so if you want to venture slightly further to the wasteland of Maidenhead, I heartily recommend Thr Emperor of India on the Braywick Road to satisfy yourself on local gruel....

Ok thanks. I'm not big on Indian food though the wife is so I may send her off if she starts turning her nose up at Italian again. Cheers. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Just use Trip advisor... which, when I've done a quick search on highest rank Italians in Windsor/Maidenhead area comes up with Sebastians in Windsor as number one Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

Where's the community spirit in that? Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

In terms of Land Rover community - very little I guess, other than the fact that somebody in the LR community took the time to suggest it.

In terms of the wider community who take the time to post the reviews on trip advisor - then rather a lot I'd say.

Still, enjoy your meal wherever you end up Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

You miss understand I was meaning that it wouldn't have been community spirited of me to just go on TripAdvisor hence asking on here to see where the locals use. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Take the Mrs. for an evening to London and treat her to a real nice Italian in what is a very nice part of the city. Can recommend you the below... Thumbs Up

http://www.francoslondon.com/

Mrs. ericvv loves it. Laughing Been there many times, and it remains equally good year in year out which is a good sign. Relatively posh, but not overly stuffy, and that area of town is for me one of the nicest to stroll around I think.

Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
