If it's the 90 station wagon mat LR005615, Dan at Duckworths was doing them for £80 inc VAT back in November 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Be careful when ordering as SW mats have cut outs for folding seat legs whereas 110 Utility has no cut outs!

Guys, sorry to be a pain. Going back to the original question, does anyone have a photo of a non carpet 90 as I have also ordered a 90 without carpet. My 110 sx does and to be honest, Ive never had an issue with water. I do have the rubber mats all round. I'm thinking that I am wanting my 90 to have carpets also. Thanks all

Having considered all the options in keeping the folding seats clean with muddy dogs in the back I went to my local sail makers and got him to measure up for making covers that slot over the folded seats when not in use. They're still being made at the moment but I'll post a piccy when they're on.

Of course the loadspace mat mentioned is only for the floor and not the arches. I was going to remove the mats from my last 110 USW but forgot all about it prior to trade in but kept back the loadspace mat - would be good to find a pattern for the arches as it would save a lot of messing about cutting new ones. We've had our 90XS from new, nearly three years old now. Of course all county spec and above then had carpet as standard and we've never had any water in on them. The new door .seals appear to be much better on these later Landies. Having just ordered a new 110XS for March I have gone for the carpet option on the basis of this, I looked at what they now fit as standard floor covering on all models and can only say that it looks cheap and nasty.......and I don't think it will be as easy to keep clean as they claim because the surface is fairly deeply pitted and will hold mud and dirt in the pits when wiped over. Just my thoughts anyway!

Curiously, here in Australia, all the 'XS' spec Defenders, 90's and 110's come with NO carpet! Just rubber mats everywhere, and pretty cheap looking ones at that!
Personally, I would love mine to have carpet! I don't plan on crossing rivers over door sill level but I like the idea of a bit of 'carpet comfort'! Having said all of that, it looks cool with the exposed aluminium, especially in my 'Indus Silver'! Cheers, Pete YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Here are the seat covers I had made by a local sail maker. Good tight fit and came in at £130 the pair inc. VAT so well pleased.

We've had this idea on the back burner for quite some time but fortunately a client who has his 90 XS CSW in with us at the moment for sound proofing and our custom carpet has also asked us to manufacture a full cover for the rear floor and sides for his dog so watch this space |
