My15 90xs station wagon loadspace
Does anyone have a picture of a 90xs station wagon inside WITHOUT the carpet option fitted? I've just ordered a new one for March delivery and didn't spec it with carpets as I want the back to be reasonably easy to clean and not worry about carpets getting wet when it leaks!!

I've had 3 90 hardtops and have always fitted the back out with a combination of mud interior panels and lr rubber mats to keep the paintwork inside in top condition, and don't know wether the xs without the carpet option has anything in the back or just bare metal wheel arches that the seats fix to.

I couldn't find anywhere a 90xs that hasn't had the carpet option fitted. 15 plate 2.2SW XS

Hey Matt, I have a new 64 plate 90 xs in at the moment. It hasn't got carpet option - it has rubber matting in front and in the rear it is bare panels with a cheap ribbed rubber mat on the floor Thumbs Up

Thanks Chris, that's what I thought would be the case. If only the wheels arches were square it would be easy to fit something, this might end up being a bit of a challenge. 15 plate 2.2SW XS

This is the only reason i went for the carpet!
When deciding i eventually decided that even if i did ruin the carpet, at least i have a template to replace it!

My rear seats are folded away 90% of the time, so i made myself a waterproof cover.
It by no means perfect and marketable but it does the job it was intended as the carpet and seats are a bit of a fiddle to hoover spaniel hairs off.

These are a few pictures when I finished it. Sorry they aren't very clear. If you take 5mins to fit it properly, its actually a very close fit without the excess seen in the photos. I have already started to come up with ways to improve the fit. Mainly making better use of the flap that goes up the back door

That's a cracking cover you've made there.
I think it would be marketable and can you do one for my dog in a 110 spec please Very Happy

I'm after something like this to put in the back of a 110 utility. Anyone know of anyone who makes them? Or where do u get the waterproof material from?

I can't understand why land rover wouldn't make rubber mats for the back as well as the carpet option. I also thought with the amount of various parts and accessories for defenders that are on the market, someone somewhere would have marketed something to do the job. Looks like it's going to be a homemade one. 15 plate 2.2SW XS

Wouldn't the factory option "Loadspace Rubber Mat" do the job?

I don't think there is a factory option load space rubber mat. The only option is the dealer fit mat that sits on the floor, which doesn't cover the wheel arches. 15 plate 2.2SW XS

Land Rover sell this for the rear http://www.lrisolutions.co.uk/index.php/ne...logo.html#
I had one fitted to the back of my 90 utility as a 'deal sweetener' by the dealer. It does look a lot better than the photos on the link when it's been properly fitted, I'm very pleased. I'm pretty sure it has the marks where the cut outs should be for rear seats too, so would be easy to cut out with a blade.

Mudmonkey, the arches in a SW aren't square so the rubber sections won't fit unfortunately.

Mudmonkey as said, that wouldn't fit a station wagon due to the shape of the arches, I have fitted these type of mats to my last 3 hardtops and they are brilliant to keep the floor and arches safe, I just don't know why lr or another supplier hasnt made a station wagon alternative of the same design, when there is clearly a market for them. 15 plate 2.2SW XS
